What is community-based tourism?

It means traveling hand in hand with the communities that care for a territory: they host you, guide you and share their knowledge. At Eco-Raíces every experience is offered directly by the Indigenous or local community that lives it.

How do I book an experience?

You choose the community and the experience, set your dates and how many people are coming, and send your request. The community confirms availability and we reach out to continue. Everything from ecoraices.mx.

When am I charged? Is it safe?

No charge is made until the community confirms your booking. The prices you see already include taxes, with no surprises.

Where does my money go?

You book directly with the community, with no middlemen keeping the largest share. That way the income stays in the town that welcomes you and supports the care of its territory.

Do I need previous experience or special gear?

Most experiences are open to everyone. Each listing describes what is included. If you have any questions, you can message us on WhatsApp.

Does your community offer tourism?
